James Ageros KC successfully defended Roy Goatham and Palmers Marine Services Ltd
James Ageros KC, instructed by Richard Morris from Penningtons Manches Cooper, London, successfully defended Roy Goatham and Palmers Marine Services Ltd in a case brought by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency before Mrs Justice Thornton KC. The case concerned the capsize and sinking of his client’s boat and death of a crew member by drowning in the Thames at Greenwich in August 2011. After a trial lasting seven weeks the jury unanimously acquitted his client of all charges.
