Clinical Negligence
Lara has a particular interest in clinical negligence claims and is regularly instructed to attend hearings and draft pleadings, for both Claimants and Defendants. Her experience covers a wide range of disciplines and includes cases involving issues of consent.
Examples of recent instructions include:
- Negligent performance of mastectomy with subsequent recurrence of breast cancer
- Delayed breast cancer diagnosis
- Negligent dental examinations and failure to diagnose oral cancer
- Negligent performance of bowel resection leading to anastomotic leak
- Negligent adrenalectomy resulting in kidney infarction
- Failure to provide antiplatelet medication
- Failure to provide proper and informed consent for TVT operation
