Ian practised from 2 Crown Office Row and later Crown Office Chambers for 18 years, specialising in the areas of insurance & reinsurance, professional indemnity, construction and general commercial litigation.
In 2004 he joined the Guernsey firm of advocates, Babbé, where he is now a partner and Head of Litigation. He now practises in Guernsey in all areas of commercial litigation. Much of this work involves referral from solicitors in the City and other jurisdictions, as well as direct instructions on behalf of the local financial services market. He is an advocate of the Royal Court of Guernsey and retains rights of audience in England.
