This non-statutory inquiry, chaired by Sir Ross Cranston (a former Solicitor-General and retired High Court Judge), has, since March 2024, been investigating the events of 24 November 2021, when over 30 people lost their lives crossing the English Channel in a small boat. James Maxwell-Scott KC and Jack Murphy were instructed by Simon Belfield and Amanda Lea at DWF.
