Harry Lambert opens the Centre for Neurotechnology and Law
Crown Office Chambers is delighted to announce the formation of the Centre for Neurotechnology and Law. This was officially opened on 3 May 2024 by Founder and Crown Office barrister, Harry Lambert.
The Centre has been set up as a reaction to recent groundbreaking developments in the sphere of neurotechnology which offer great opportunities but also present unprecedented challenges.
As this field continues to evolve, healthy balanced debate and mature considered legislation will be crucial in steering the trajectory of neurotechnological advancement for the benefit of all humanity.
The Centre will aim among other things to raise awareness about these issues and to facilitate such debate and the multidisciplinary cross fertilisation of ideas.
The Centre has already had significant buy-in from the legal, tech, and medical sectors as well as from academia.
