Frontiers of medical negligence and diagnosis: an interview-based analysis
Annie Mackley of Crown Office Chambers has published an article in the Medical Law Review with a research team from the University of Cambridge. The article draws on interviews with barristers and solicitors in order to explore the standards of care that apply to diagnosis and identifies potential future changes in the law, in light of the decisions in Montgomery v Lanarkshire Health Board [2015] UKSC 11 and Muller v King’s College Hospital [2017] EWHC 128 (QB). It forms part of a wider project exploring medical diagnoses from clinical, legal and ethical perspectives.
The article can be found on Westlaw or via Oxford Academic.
