Dominic Kay KC secures acquittal for PLC
Dominic Kay KC, instructed by Neil Scott of DAC Beachcroft, has secured the acquittal of a PLC, part way through its trial at Southwark Crown Court. The Company was charged under regulation 15(2) of the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015 in respect of an accident which occurred at a construction site in London in January 2016. The case concerned the alleged inadequacy of the Defendant’s planning, monitoring and management of mechanical and electrical installation work. Following cross-examination of the first four witnesses, the Crown offered no evidence against the Company and a not guilty verdict was directed by the Judge.
