22 May 2019
On 8 May 2019 we reported how a former Royal Marine represented by Robert O’Leary had been awarded damages of £545,766 for noise induced hearing loss and tinnitus suffered as a result of noise exposure during his military career.
The Ministry of Defence sought permission to appeal from the trial judge, Peter Marquand, sitting as a Deputy High Court Judge, which he refused.
The Ministry of Defence have now stated that they will not renew their application for permission to appeal to the Court of Appeal.
