Crown Office Chambers are delighted to welcome Ivor Collett and Nicola Atkins, who join chambers from 1 Chancery Lane. They join chambers to continue their Insurance, Professional Liability, Construction and Property Damage practices.
Ivor Collett
Ivor’s practice covers professional liability, construction, property damage and insurance disputes, with a particular focus on claims against construction professionals and lawyers. He is heavily involved in cases of impostor fraud and appeared successfully in the recent Court of Appeal case of P&P Property Ltd and Dreamvar (UK) Ltd. Ivor’s insurance work involves policy wording and coverage issues. Ivor is a construction adjudicator and was involved in development of the Professional Negligence Adjudication Scheme. Over the last 4 years he has been the most frequently-appointed adjudicator under the Scheme.
Ivor is ranked in The Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners for his Professional Negligence work.

Nicola Atkins
Nicola’s practice focuses on professional liability, particularly in relation to claims against construction professionals and solicitors, property damage disputes and local authority liability. She frequently appears as sole or junior counsel in arbitrations, mediations and civil court trials/interim applications in the High Court and County Court.
Nicola is ranked for her Professional Negligence work in Legal 500.
