Malcolm Galloway has secured the acquittal of KD
Malcolm Galloway, instructed by Ian Manners at DAC Beachcroft, has secured the acquittal of KD, the Course Manager at a race where a spectator died after a collision with a mountain bike rider. KD had been accused of breaching section 7 of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 by failing to ensure the health and safety of spectators at the Borderline Downhill Series Mountain Biking race at Llangollen, North Wales on August 31, 2014. After submissions at the close of the prosecution case, HHJ Rowlands, directed the jury to return a verdict of not guilty. The trial of the co-accused, the event organiser (MM) and The British Cycling Federation, continues.
