James Maxwell-Scott KC appointed Recorder of the Crown Court
Crown Office Chambers is pleased to announce that James Maxwell-Scott KC has been appointed as a Recorder. Following an open competition, run by the Judicial Appointments Commission, a total of 133 Recorders have been appointed from over 2.400 applicants. James will be deployed to the Western Circuit and will sit part-time in Crime. The appointment will take effect from 4 April 2018. As the appointment is part-time, James’s practice as a barrister will be unaffected.
