Nadia Whittaker helps family to secure a conclusion from Jury
Nadia Whittaker helps the family of Francesca Whyatt, a mental health patient detailed under the Mental Health Act for treatment at the Priory Roehampton, to secure a conclusion from the Jury that her death from irreversible cerebral anoxia and upper airway obstruction was contributed to by neglect. Despite her known risk of self-harm using ligatures, she was permitted to wear tights, was able to ascend from the garden to the first floor unrestricted by a locked door and/or staff intervention and was not subject to zonal or intermittent observations for a period of 15 minutes.
