Simon Antrobus speaking at the HSLA event on 17th May 2017
Simon Antrobus acted for Merlin Attractions Operations Ltd the operators of Alton Towers theme park in relation to the HSE prosecution, concerning the accident on its “Smiler” rollercoaster ride which left two young girls with permanent disfigurement.
Simon will talk about the difficulties (both legal and tactical) imposed upon those mitigating in the light of the new sentencing guidelines, as graphically demonstrated by this case that was acted out under considerable press scrutiny.
