John Cooper KC & Dominic Kay appear in electric gate manslaughter cases
On 7th December 2015, CGA was fined £50,000 following its plea to Corporate Manslaughter at the end of November. The Company’s director, K, was earlier acquitted of a count of gross negligence manslaughter. The case relates to a fatal accident involving electric gates in June 2010. The gate had been installed by CGA 2 months earlier. The sentencing judge made a publicity order but made no order for costs. The company was granted 7 years to pay the fine.
