Mark Balysz has secured the acquittal of Attleys Roofing Limited after a five week trial at Reading Crown Court. The Company was found not guilty of breaching sections 2 & 3 of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and not guilty of two risk assessment charges, which followed the tragic death of one of its employees. The Principal Contractor (not represented by Crown Office Chambers) was convicted by the jury of four identical charges which the prosecution alleged flowed from the failures on the part of the sub-contractor.
