Dominic Kay represents nursery worker cleared of manslaughter
Dominic Kay represented a nursery worker acquitted of manslaughter following the death of a child in her care at a nursery in York in 2012. The three-year-old girl died after becoming entangled in a rope left on a slide in the playground at the nursery. The 25-year-old nursery assistant was charged with manslaughter and a breach of s.7 HSWA in respect of the accident. She was acquitted on both counts by a jury at Leeds Crown Court following a three-week trial before Mr Justice Coulson.
