HSE v Heineken UK Ltd
On the 4th day of trial the Prosecution offered no evidence against Heineken represented by John Cooper. Not guilty verdicts were returned by the Jury.
The trial concerned the death by carbon dioxide poisoning of an operative at a Brewery in Reading in 2006 in the CO2 recovery room. The HSE expert in the case conceded in evidence that the cause of the accident was not reasonably foreseeable.
The Company received its costs from central funds.
