Insurance & Reinsurance
Crown Office Chambers undertakes all forms of insurance, reinsurance and policy construction work. With its strong links to the insurance market, Crown Office Chambers has long been a highly regarded set in this field. Many of its clients are major insurers, Lloyd’s syndicates and brokers. All forms of contentious and advisory work are undertaken, including both marine and non-marine reinsurance. Major fire claims are a particular feature of chambers’ expertise.
Since much of members' insurance work is related to their other areas of specialisation, members of chambers are in the very strong position of being able to combine their specialist knowledge of the law of insurance with that of the underlying dispute, such as construction, employer's liability or professional negligence.
All Forms of Insurance and Reinsurance
