Members of Crown Office Chambers are regularly involved in domestic and international arbitrations, either acting as counsel on behalf of the parties or sitting as a sole arbitrator or on arbitral panels.

They have been involved in arbitrations arising from contracts for construction, engineering and exploration works, financial services and commercial, insurance and reinsurance contracts. Also Health Service and Health Industry disputes.

Barristers have acted as counsel in domestic and international arbitrations concerning power stations, process engineering and chemical plants, road construction, railway and underground works and other high profile construction and engineering projects. They have acted for major infrastructure providers, developers, employers, contractors, construction professionals, the insurance market and the insured.

They have acted in domestic arbitrations held in London and elsewhere in the UK and in international arbitrations held in London, Europe, the Middle East, Hong Kong, Australia, Japan and the United States of America.

Members of Chambers have been appointed to act as arbitrators by the parties, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the International Chamber of Commerce, and the London Court of International Arbitration. They have conducted hearings in the UK, Europe, Asia and Africa.

Members maintain close links with arbitration bodies such as the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the London Court of International Arbitration, the Society of Construction Arbitrators and the Worshipful Company of Arbitrators.
